Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, I don’t contract with insurance companies, and I choose to be a private-pay provider for a few really important reasons.

To cover therapy, insurance companies require a formal mental health diagnosis and the right to audit your files. They also like to dictate how many sessions you get, how often we meet, and what kind of therapy we can do. I believe those decisions belong entirely to you and me. Staying independent means your care remains completely confidential, and we have the total freedom to pace your healing in a way that actually makes sense for your life—whether that means standard weekly sessions or longer, focused intensives.

  • Yes, absolutely! You can choose whichever feels best and most supportive for you. If you prefer being in the room together, my office is a private, cozy, and intentional space designed to feel like a sanctuary. If convenience or comfort means staying home, we can connect online through a secure, private video platform. You’re also welcome to mix and match depending on what your week looks like.

  • I am a deeply respectful therapist. I honor all faiths, spiritual paths, and those who don’t practice or believe in anything at all. Your worldview is safe with me. Beyond that, a large part of my heart and work is dedicated to helping people heal from religious trauma and spiritual abuse. Whether you are holding onto a faith that matters to you, or you are trying to untangle yourself from the harm of a rigid or manipulative religious background, you are entirely welcome here exactly as you are.

  • Everyone. Just like it says on my home page, I operate from a place of deep, radical inclusion. This is a safe landing space for all humans, plain and simple. Your race, culture, nationality, body type, ability, and worldview are completely honored here. I am an active, affirming ally to the LGBTQ+ community and welcome individuals across the entire spectrum of gender identities and sexual orientations, as well as those navigating nontraditional relationship dynamics like polyamory and ethical non-monogamy. You don't have to edit who you are to step through my door.

  • Therapy is a deeply personal partnership, and the "vibe check" matters. Because of that, I like to start with a brief, casual consultation call. It gives us a chance to chat, make sure my approach aligns with what you need, and see if it feels like a good fit for us to work together before you ever book a full session.
